Children’s Books by Deb McEwan
Welcome to my children’s books! From penguins learning to face their fears to Christmas reindeer with big dreams, these stories are written to entertain young readers and encourage curiosity, kindness and imagination.
All four books are told in rhyme, bringing a playful rhythm and a little extra fun to story time. They’re ideal for sharing aloud with young readers.
Reindeer Dreams
Reindeer Dreams was my very first book, and it holds a special place in my heart.
Meet Barry, a strong and cute young reindeer who dreams of earning a place on Santa’s team, and Abby, a gorgeous but shy reindeer. With help from Auntie Pattie, the matchmaker, Barry and Abby’s story unfolds alongside a colourful cast of reindeer—including Rudolf, the team leader and Barry’s uncle, Blitzen, who enjoys a wee whisky a bit too much, and Jeffrey, who wants to make his dad proud.

Jason the Penguin (He’s Different)
The idea for Jason the Penguin began on Christmas Day 2014, when we received the joyful news that our niece Rebecca and her husband Craig were expecting their first baby. They asked me to write a book to celebrate the birth—and Craig liked penguins! Arya Williamson arrived on 25 April 2015, a little earlier than expected.

Jason the Penguin (He Learns to Swim)
Can Jason overcome his fear of the water and learn to swim with help from a friendly sea lion? Find out in the second Jason the Penguin book.

Ellie and the Animals
Ellie and the Animals is another of my children’s books. Its colourful cover introduces Ellie alongside a lively group of animal friends.

I hope these stories bring a little fun and imagination to your family’s reading time. Thank you for visiting!
